Day 121: "Fun Friday!"

For today's "Fun Friday" outing, we went to BJ's Wholesale for some groceries after dropping Emmalee off at school. Today I had to walk them into the building because we were there before the store was even open, so no carts in the returns! They did pretty good, I carried Lyla, and held Noah's hand and Owen held Noah's hand...only one little stumble by Owen being pulled by Noah, but we made it, and claimed our super cool car cart (insert sarcasm here...those things are a pain to steer, especially full of 3 kids and heavy groceries!). We zipped through BJ's in an hour, so we had another hour and a half to kill. I took them to ToysRus. Now grocery stores have double/triple carts but a TOY STORE, where you more than likely bring kids with you, doesn't. So I broke the safety warnings and toted the boys in the basket part of the shopping cart...oh well. Yes I have a stroller to fit all 3, but I didn't want to get it out of the car. I got everyone a little toy and we left to go get Emmalee, after a quick detour by way of the Starbucks drive-thru! We still had some time to kill, so they snacked in the car while we waited for Emmalee to get out!

During Speech Therapy yesterday the kids got to pick stickers and put them on their own construction paper, they were identifying the pictures and using the "put on" command. Later last night after dinner, Lyla pulled the papers down off the counter and soon gave herself a chest piece!!! Silly girl!

Day 111: "When a Food Allergy Kid Gets a Rash Like This..."

You can't help but think it's a reaction to something he ate.
Luckily in Owen's case today, it is most likely a virus that came out in rash form.
This Momma freaked when she got him up from naps, luckily he was normal otherwise and we got a hold of his allergist and got some Zyrtec and Benadryl in him.
His skin was pretty much back to normal within about an hour and a half or so, just shadows of his big welts were visible at bed time.
His poor little eye, swollen still, but should be good by morning.

This of course happened when we weren't around any new foods or anything, just eating normal stuff at home. Why do viruses disguise themselves this way? Way to freak me out!

Day 110: "Triplets at the Playground!"

Today we met Sara & her kids at the playground in Scottsville for lunch and play! Emmalee had slept overnight at Mimi's so it was just the trio and us! (It's Spring Break and Daddy's home all week too!!!) It was very warm and extremely windy, but it was tons and tons of fun! They all hat the reddest faces to prove it!!!

Day 109: "My 1st Crochet Purse"

I made this for my cousin Terri for her birthday!
I test patterns I want to try on her and other family members!
This is made from acrylic yarn, I'm thinking it's going to stretch out a bit once there's stuff in it,
so I think next time I'll try with cotton yarn, which is not as stretchy!

Finally, we were all well, and it was warm enough, not raining and there's no snow on the ground, so we took our first walk of the year around the block after dinner!
